INNOVATION

A Reputation 'Built' On Quality

Maintaining a leadership position in construction innovation and methodology means that we set our sights high, whether we are dealing with construction technology, design innovation, or return on investment.

When you live in a Tridel home, you can rest assured that your investment will pay off in a number of ways. You'll live worry-free in a home where everything works as it should - doors and cupboards fit properly, tubs and sinks drain efficiently, heating and cooling systems keep you comfortable.

Tridel goes above and beyond the Building Code, and often sets the standards for the condominium industry. Tridel's standard suite finishes are often considered upgrade options by other developers. For consistency, these quality standards at each building are maintained and managed by a dedicated Project Management team that is involved in the project from conception to completion. They work with the engineers, architects and designers so that the Tridel vision is carried throughout the construction process.

A Commitment To Continuous Improvement

Leo DelZotto knows a thing or two about building a winner. As President of Tridel Corporation, Leo believes in motivating his team to innovate, and to continually demonstrate value to Tridel customers. He says "What really works well is when you are 100% satisfied with it and say:
"Okay, now how do we make it better?"

And while many builders' involvement ends when the last suite is sold, Tridel, through Del Property Management, stays with their condominium communities as they are lived in. This level of involvement provides the company with valuable insight into what works well now and ultimately, what endures. Click here to read about one such community that just celebrated 25 years.

Tridel spends hours researching every detail of every new home. From the hinges on kitchen cupboards, to the thickness and composition of the carpeting underpad, you can rest assured that every feature in your home lives up to Tridel's exacting standards. Building all suites with zero deficiencies is our goal. Tridel has a full time team of people on site - testing and repairing, not just in the suites, but in the common areas, even before your inspection.

Energy efficiency is an increasingly important concern for homebuyers today, and Tridel has taken a proactive stance launching the Tridel. Built Green. Built for Life.® making Tridel the environmental building leader in the industry.

Building It Right The First Time!

Stages Of Construction

Tridel homeowners purchase their homes at all different points of the building process, from the pre-construction phase right up to the ready to move in phase. Our customers can do that because of the high level of confidence that the Tridel name inspires.

Every Tridel building is meticulously managed through all 5 stages of construction from the planning stage to the finishing stage:

Stage 1: Excavation - clearing the land and 'digging the hole'
Stage 2: Concrete - building the garage and setting the foundation
Stage 3: Building the structure - pre-cast, brick-laying, windows
Stage 4: 'Behind the Walls' - drywall partitions, plumbing, electricity, flooring

Stage 5: Finishing the suite- tiles, carpentry, fine finishing
When a Tridel Homeowner purchases in the pre-construction stage, they are notified by Customer Care throughout all the various stages of the construction process. That way they are always up to speed on the progress of their building.

Design

Design Of Building

A Tridel building is home to many people, but because of the nature of the Tridel vision, it is also a source of artistic inspiration. See actual designs at:

There's a simple reason why Tridel suites feel larger than those found in some other buildings - experience. Tridel designers know how to design condominiums. They know what features work and more importantly, which ones don't. That's why in Tridel suites there are no strange angles. No weird little spaces that don't work. No long bowling-alley like hallways. Tridel suites are spacious and elegant. Furniture is easy to place. There's plenty of light and air. Cupboards and doors shut the way they should.

    Public Spaces

Tridel's Planning & Development team works closely with community councilors, city staff and representatives to set and achieve goals for the long-term mutual benefit of the area. In this process, a multitude of community concerns are considered, including transportation, environmental concerns, parklands, public art and maintaining historical landmarks.

Since its inception eleven years ago, the Northtown community has come into its own. Located at Yonge Street, south of Finch Avenue, this multi-faceted community features three styles of condominium residences: Casitas, The Tower Suites, and the executive Carriage Homes, all designed around a parking setting.

The master plan for Northtown unites the residences, including Triomphe 1, 2, Sommerset and Parkside, through a central community park, while maintaining independent amenities, which includes fitness and social clubs.

Tridel has built a network of walking paths that lead residents through the lavishly landscaped grounds to a European-inspired retail promenade with charming cafes, restaurants, shops and boutiques. The new Dominion Superstore, right in Northtown is connected through an underground passage way to the Triomphe buildings, which make grocery shopping a pleasure. Modern Design Meets Grand Tradition

Tridel's No. 10 Bellair is one of Toronto's most luxurious condominiums located at the corner of Bloor and Bellair. The building is a significant addition to one of Canada's most famous streets. No. 10 Bellair is home to one of Toronto landmarks - the University Theatre. In 1947, this theatre was built by Famous Players which represented one of the first large post-war movie houses. The Theatre architect, Eric W. Hounsom, was strongly influenced by the Art Moderne style and incorporated this look in the exterior facade.

The University Theatre façade was considered a historical landmark to be preserved when Tridel was ready to build No. 10 Bellair. Although it is typical for a modern builder to 'build around' a historical landmark - Tridel approached City Council to not only preserve the integrity of the design but to reconstruct the form to better preserve this historical property.

Tridel took special care in the preservation process. The theatre facade was dismantled piece by piece, shrink wrapped for preservation, catalogued, and then placed into storage for approximately 2 years. As No. 10 Bellair was being built, the theatre facade was reconstructed to its original form through modern construction technology.

The preserved features of the original theatre include its undulating cut-marble base, sleek ticket booth, cantilevered canopies, magnificent two-storey, granite-framed window and the original stainless steel door frames, handles and detailing.
