UNION31 has won an International Property Award in the Mixed Use Interior category for their amenity and lobby designs at Reve, at Front and Bathurst.
“The palette is fairly neutral with punches of colour,” says designer Kelly Cray. “The field tones are white and grey. In keeping with the campaign color, we used the red colour to divide spaces and feature key areas. We used them as beacons, the punches of colour lead you into different spaces.”
UNION31 is also designing 300 Front Street West, One and Two Old Mill, and Blythwood at Huntington.
“We’re so glad that Tridel had the confidence in our design direction,” says Cray. “It’s situated between the Entertainment District and the Fashion District, so we thought this building could have a kind of quasi clubland flair to it. We presented it as being based on the hotel experience. There’s a lot of flexible spaces and areas you can go to instead of hanging out in your room. You see that with the double fireplace and the intimate great seating areas.”
