101 Erskine announced, creating a greater sense of community in the Yonge and Eglinton area

101 Erskine logoDowntown living in a midtown location. Minutes away from hip and vibrant Yonge and Eglinton, but tucked away on a quiet, tree-lined street, Tridel has just announced that 101 Erskine will be launching this summer.

“The Yonge and Eglinton area attracts people that love downtown and are looking for a cosmopolitan lifestyle, but find downtown to be a bit cold and still want more of a community feel,” says Winnie Chan, Regional Sales Manager. “Downtown can be kind of deserted on the weekend, but Yonge and Eglinton is more of a people place with families and people with dogs on the street, the patios filled.”

101 Erskine will consist of a 32 storey glass condo tower and 10 townhomes. The condominium has been designed by CS&P Architects, who also designed the Republic and North Toronto Collegiate Institute. Union31, the team who made Reve award winning, is designing the gorgeous amenities.

Suites in the tower will range from studios to two bedrooms plus den. The high-end community amenities include rooftop terrace with infinity pool and outdoor fireplace
lounge, entertainment spaces with private courtyard, alfresco dining lounge, and fitness amenities.

101 Erskine follows the amazing success of The Republic, which launched in 2007. Only four days after phase one of the community was launched, at 25 Broadway Avenue, phase two was launched at 70 Roehampton.

101 Erskine is just one block north of Broadway Avenue and the brand-new high school. There will be a park walkway between the two avenues, adding to the community feel of the neighbourhood. 101 Erskine is also a “walker’s paradise” with a Walk Score of 95 out of 100, meaning that almost everything you could need — groceries, restaurants, parks, banking and more — is within walking distance.

“Around the intersection of Yonge and Eglinton is a lot of the franchised and brand-name stores,” says Winnie. “But farther north, there are many more upscale boutiques, quaint cafes and fine-dining restaurants. A lot of the purchasers are people who are proud of the area, those who may have left but want to move back.”
