WHAT A NIGHT FOR "TEAM TRIDEL" AT 2011 BILD AWARDS

Tridel Takes Three Awards, including High-Rise Green Builder of the Year, at Home Builder Show; Company Founders Angelo, Elvio and Leo DelZotto Receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Toronto, Ontario, May 3, 2011 - In a night filled with special moments and distinctive honours, it was Tridel, Canada's leading condominium developer, that took home some of the most prestigious accolades at BILD's recent Home Builders Awards gala. The BILD Awards are presented each year to builders, architects, planners, and other disciplines actively involved in projects that have demonstrated building and design excellence.

While Tridel took the highly-coveted High-Rise Green Builder of the Year title, as well as the Best Website, and Best Sales Manager(s) awards, it was the presentation of the rare and prestigious BILD Lifetime Achievement Award to company founders Angelo, Elvio and Leo DelZotto that proved to be Team Tridel's biggest honour on the night.

In introducing the recipients, BILD Chair Paul Golini Jr. acknowledged the DelZotto's "lifetime of achievement", suggesting that the award was "80 years and 70,000 units in the making." After the introduction, the nearly 1,000 residential development industry attendees offered a prolonged standing ovation, before Leo DelZotto spoke, taking the opportunity to point to the exceptional efforts, professionalism and hard work of the Tridel employees; a group he referred to as "Team Tridel".

"Team Tridel" was recognized throughout the evening with awards that honoured the Company's achievements in advertising and marketing, and those of its individual employees. Tridel's website (condo.ca) won for Best Website (High Rise), while Winnie Chan and Winson Chan received the Best Sales Manager(s) distinction.

Tridel also successfully defended its High-Rise Green Builder of the Year title from last year, once again taking the prestigious award. The Green Builder of the Year award honours developers that have embraced sustainable and/or high-performance building and have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the implementation of green building practices.

As the largest builder of sustainable Toronto condominiums and communities, Tridel is a corporate member of the Canada Green Building Council and is an active supporter of LEED Canada for Homes.
