We are proud to share the news that Aqualina at Bayside, the first phase of our successful Bayside community on the Toronto Waterfront, has achieved LEED Platinum certification! In fact, Aqualina is Toronto’s first residential building to achieve Platinum certification under the LEED NC DB+C 2009 rating system.

Ontario’s best and brightest in the green building industry were gathered in downtown Toronto for the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) Ontario Awards Gala as the NetZED Suite at Bayside by Tridel and Hines was recognized as the winner of the Inspiring Home Award.
As the residential, commercial and retail buildings rise around it, one section of The Well includes the excavation of a deep cistern near the centre of the site. This cistern will connect to the Enwave Deep Lake Water Cooling (DLWC) system to provide heating and cooling to the 11,000 people who will live and work at The Well.
Digital technology touches almost every aspect of our daily lives so it’s only natural it gets a starring role in making The Lobby unique. This is the third and final post I’m devoting to a major new Tridel initiative. It’s called The Lobby and it delivers a fully integrated and satisfying way for buyers to customize their homes.
A great project begins with vision and is given life by drawing on a mix of talented people to make it real. To properly tell you about the creation and special features of The Lobby (Tridel’s new high-tech experiential showcase at 4800 Dufferin St.), I’m going to draw further on interviews I conducted with key teammates and our external design partner.
