The November 2018 Construction Update
The FORM community is progressing well, with the on-site team now forming the eleventh floor. Forming entails laying out the actual structural components of each floor slab and vertical (the walls and columns) component. Once all of the components are in place, concrete is poured over-top, securing them in place. As each floor is finished, the on-site team then begins forming the floor above.

If you haven’t visited FORM in the past few months, you will notice a drastic change in height as the building now rises into the skyline. In fact, construction is working towards “topping off” the community (reaching full height), just in time for the holidays.
Precast – the exterior finishing of the building – is scheduled to begin shortly. Once installation of the precast begins, FORM will begin it’s visual transformation into the innovative design envisioned by the award-winning team at architectsAlliance.
MECHANICAL & PLUMBING PERMITS
With the plumbing and mechanical permits now received, the on-site teams are moving forward with the next stage of construction. The permit approvals mean that the designs for these specific building systems have been reviewed and approved by the required municipal authorities. At present, mechanical rough-ins, including plumbing, HVAC and electrical work, are proceeding on the second floor of the community.
Located on McCaul Street in downtown Toronto, FORM is conveniently situated within a short walk of the bustling excitement of Queen St. West, the Art Gallery of Ontario, OCAD University and a wide variety of some of the city’s best amenities. Once complete, FORM will rise 14 storeys and be home to 189 suites.
