Green Energy Coming of Age in Toronto

What does Tridel share in common with the Toronto Atmospheric Fund, Jack Layton and AutoShare™? Check out this great article by Alice Klein on Now.

Tridel has shown that TAF loans are practical in delivering energy efficient and healthy homes to condo purchasers.

And it [TAF] made the initial loan for condo developer Tridel to experiment with the green building initiatives now part of all its new projects.

Not mentioned in the article is that Tridel’s Element was the first and only condo in downtown Toronto  to use Enwave Deep Water Cooling, using the cold water from Lake Ontario to cool the building.

Tridel is proud to have AutoShare™ in its new condominium community, the Republic of Yonge and Eglinton, where residents are given a free one year membership and can use the web to rent cars located in the parking garage by the hour.

New Tridel communities will feature green roofs (Aristo at Avonshire, One Old Mill and Two Old Mill). The Old Mill condos will also have rooftop solar as well as other features. Download the Old Mill Green Brochure Guide to find out more.
