Green Builder of the Year
For an unprecedented 11th time, Tridel has been awarded the Building Industry and Land Development (BILD) Green Builder of the Year award. Since the early 2000s, Tridel has been an industry leader in sustainable building practices and has worked closely with trades and partners to develop new technologies and innovations. In 2019, Tridel completed its third generation eco-suite in downtown Toronto. The Innovation Suite at Ten York was designed to showcase what is possible when forward-thinking technology merges with contemporary design, to offer homeowners incredible connectivity, comfort, and convenience while delivering homes that are energy-efficient and healthier places to live. At The Well, our team is currently working on the construction of a massive underground well for Enwave, which will allow the district energy provider to expand their capacity to provide their Deep Lake Water Cooling system to Toronto residents. And at our downtown SQ2 community, Tridel and ELBY Mobility partnered to offer homeowners a healthy, sustainable, convenient, and fun way to commute, with the launch of an e-bike-sharing program inside their community.
Since 2005, Tridel has been committed to building condominium communities to LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards, as established by the Canada Green Building Council. In 2019, Aqualina at Bayside, the first phase of our successful Bayside community on the Toronto Waterfront, was the first high-rise residential building to achieve LEED Platinum certification under the LEED NC DB+C 2009 rating system in Toronto. In addition to Aqualina’s LEED platinum certification, 3 additional Tridel communities achieved LEED Gold certification, 5 new Tridel communities targeting LEED certification were launched and 6 communities are currently awaiting LEED certification.

With a firm belief that communication and innovation are the keys to delivering a customer experience that exceeds expectations, the Tridel Customer Care team is dedicated to continuously improving the way we work with our customers throughout the home-ownership journey. Our approach is to educate and inform our homeowners by providing ‘Inspired, Committed, and Extraordinary” customer service. Through initiatives such as The Lobby, our interactive design centre, our online Design App, and our homeowner portal, MyTridelHome.com, our homeowners have been empowered to make informed decisions and take action on their behalf, from the time they purchase their home, as they move in and indeed, into the future.
Tridel at The Well Wins Best High-Rise Building Design
A Pinnacle Award recognizing excellence in architectural design of a high-rise building, The Well is Toronto’s most ambitious mixed-use project, with 1.1 million sq.ft. of office space, 500,000 sq.ft. of prime retail space, and 1,700 residential units. This master-planned community, situated on almost eight acres of land at Front and Spadina, features three residential towers by Tridel.
The Classic Series I and Classic Series II, designed by architectsAlliance, overlook a vibrant Front Street. The two clean, modern towers sit atop grand podiums that are designed to blend into this historical downtown neighbourhood along the pedestrian avenue, with a 19th-century streetscape presentation. The Signature Series residence, designed by Wallman Architects, features larger, terraced suites in a boutique building, thoughtfully designed overlooking the newly revitalized Wellington Promenade.
Transforming what was once the former offices of The Globe and Mail and its printing facility at 444 Front St, The Well is a bold reflection of Toronto’s energy and diversity and an extension of the urban vibrancy of King West.
