BOLT Update

The BOLT Charitable Foundation or BOLT has had a busy few weeks and the hard work continues as we approach our annual BOLT Casino Night in May.

On April 3rd, 2019, Joanne Bin, Executive Director of the BOLT Charitable Foundation, was a special guest presenter at Councillor Anthony Perruzza meeting with the Principals in the Humber River-Black Creek riding in the City of Toronto.  The educators were very impressed with the amount of work that we do to support the youth in our community.

On April 12th, BOLT sponsored the graduating class for Hammer Heads.  Several special guests attended the ceremony including Grey Cup champion Mike “Pinball” Clemons and Toronto Mayor John Tory, which was held at Local 721 Iron Workers Union.  In his remarks, Mayor John Tory wished the graduates well in their careers in the construction industry.  “Hammer Heads does amazing work teaching important career skills to at-risk youth from under-resourced communities,” said Mayor Tory.
