Aquabella Child Care Centre Grand Opening

October 19th marked a key moment for Hines’ and Tridel’s Aquabella, the third phase within the transformative Bayside Toronto community.

Attended by the likes of Deputy Mayor Ausma Malik, alongside Meg Davis, Chief Development Officer at Waterfront Toronto, and Anne Babcock, President & CEO of WoodGreen Community Services, as we all came together to unveil the new Aquabella Child Care Centre.

With space for up to 62 children, the centre offers specialized care for infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers. Its key features include an innovative second-floor playground that is cleverly sheltered for year-round outdoor play, enchanting murals inspired by local wildlife that adorn the play spaces' walls, and extensive soundproofing for a peaceful atmosphere.

The centre, owned and operated by the City of Toronto works with WoodGreen Community Services, a non-profit child care operator participating in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and child care funding program, which has reduced child care fees to approximately $10 per day, creating a more accessible and inclusive environment for families. Child care fee subsidies are also accepted, further lightening the financial load for parents.
