Park Progress

After close consultation with the community and working alongside the City, the Development Team has finalized the park’s concept plan—here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming.

Auberge On The Park Community Park

Located at the centre of the three towers, the new 2,604 metre square park will be a central gathering space for the Auberge on the Park community. Included in the design are a children’s playground, water play area, open lawn space and more. Construction on the park is anticipated to start in summer 2022.

Our Development Team is also working with the City of Toronto, Metrolinx and the Toronto and Region Conservation and Authority on the design of the new multi-use trail that will bring exciting outdoor opportunities to our thoughtfully-designed community. More updates will follow once the design is complete.

Construction at Auberge on the Park is moving efficiently and on schedule. The construction team is hard at work on site, continuing forming work on the first two towers. Currently, concrete is being poured for the walls and columns on the 22nd floor of Auberge and Auberge II. The shared podium of the first two towers is coming into shape as precast is topping off the podium floor, and windows are being installed on the second floor. Soon, the teams on site will begin to install the glass for the grand lobby. Additionally, the glass entry into the grand lobby is nearing completion. At Chateau, the tower crane is now erected on site and operational. Shoring has now been completed and the teams on site have started building the foundation of the tower.

Eglinton Crosstown LRT Stop at Leslie/Eglinton Intersection

The new Eglinton Crosstown LRT stretches 19 km from Mount Dennis in Toronto’s west end, to Kennedy Station in Scarborough, with its Sunnybrook Park stop just steps from Auberge on the Park. This new transit route will offer residents quick, effortless connections to every corner of Toronto and the GTA.

And now, for the first time since the project was envisioned, Crosstown light rail vehicles (LRVs) are undertaking trial runs, running along their route as if they were in service. Testing has been scheduled regularly for the next few weeks, which means the project, estimated to be completed in 2021, has taken a huge step closer to being fully realized.

Once up and running, the Crosstown LRT will link to bus routes, subway stations and GO Transit lines. Located at Leslie and Eglinton, the Sunnybrook Park stop is less than a 5-minute walk from the Auberge community. Keep a look out on Eglinton Avenue, and you might just see the future of Toronto’s transit zipping by.
