Condo Accessibility

A World of Possibilities

We believe doing the right thing people-wise is the smart thing to do business-wise. We are dedicated to ensuring our customer service policies, practices, and procedures respect and promote the dignity and independence of all people who have a diverse range of abilities, needs, and preferences.

Our business embraces a culture of innovation, diversity and inclusion as part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). A reflection of our commitment is the Condo Challenge for accessibility to ensure all of our residents can enjoy and move through the amenity spaces with ease/ without barriers. This challenge has been completed at several of our communities, where we tested our current designs and facilitated the creation of new ideas for the future. We work to eliminate barriers and provide personalization options for all our residents, including the opportunity to age-in-place. In partnership with our Design Consultants in the Design Studio, homeowners can customize and create their ideal home based on their personal preferences, including adaptations for evolving needs in the short and long-term.

At Tridel, we design and commit to reserving a number of suites in each of our communities that are flex-designed to be barrier-free. These suite layouts are created with features that go beyond the standards set for accessibility in the Ontario Building Code.

In all of Tridel’s communities, the common area spaces currently undergo a design program that surpasses the standards defined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). We are continuously dedicated to exceeding the AODA standards for both in-suite
and common element areas. Please refer to our Accessibility Policy to learn more.

Our Commitment

We are always learning and innovating through thoughtful design and adaptations that suit everyone’s different abilities and unique needs. Tridel shall strive, at all times, to provide products and services in a way that respects the dignity and independence of persons with
disabilities. Tridel is also committed to ensuring that persons with disabilities receive access in the same or similar way as other persons. If such integration is not possible, an alternative way will be established on a temporary or permanent basis, as the case may be; and as well, persons with disabilities will receive the same quality and timely service as others do.
