The ability of our business to create social and environmental change is a privilege. We make conscious choices to leverage the power of our employees, brands, customers and partners to support positive long-term changes that expand awareness and empower people in our communities to take action.
Tridel Take Action
Building things that matter don’t always involve blueprints or construction sites. It can be as simple as supporting values and causes that are important to our employees and our customers.
The Tridel Take Action team is an employee-driven charitable giving program that supports the communities around us, showing appreciation and encouragement to “build things that matter “away from the workplace.
B.O.L.T. Program (Building Opportunities for Life Today)
“Inspire a new generation of tradespeople by providing access to education, training and employment in construction” Joanne Bin, Executive Director, B.O.L.T
Inspired by the talented young adults in Toronto who have a passion for a very different kind of PhD (what we affectionately call a Plumbing Heating and Ductwork degree); we created B.O.L.T. in 2009 as a collaborative community, governmental and industry initiative to connect young adults to careers in construction.
We conduct Day of Discovery events on our job sites and community speakouts so the next generation can learn about construction and why we’re so passionate about what we do.
The Foundation provides awareness, financial support and mentoring to facilitate their success. Over 100 scholarships have already been rewarded through George Brown College, Humber College, Centennial College and Pathways to Education.
For further information, please visit the B.O.L.T website.
The George Brown College Angelo Delzotto School of Construction Management
“A good education combined with a brilliant, passionate mind is the foundation of success, not only for their future but for ours“ Angelo DelZotto, Chairman of Tridel
Tridel partners with academic institutions to help innovate and to develop the next generation of industry talent. George Brown College (GBC) is close to our heart because thousands of Tridel and Deltera homeowners are living in condos, lofts and townhomes that were built by construction, project managers and building science graduates that came to us from GBC. It was with great pride that we made a gift of $3 million to the Success at Work fundraising campaign by GBC to develop better education programs and facilities in the construction industry. This donation will go a long way in laying down the educational foundation for future generations of highly trained and skilled construction managers to continue Toronto’s strong tradition of construction excellence.
Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada
“You have everything if you have good health; your own and your family’s.” Leo DelZotto President of Tridel & Chairman of the Cardiac Health Foundation
Giving back is not just about donations but about the responsibility to create awareness around the most important parts of life: health, work satisfaction, social relationships, financial security and connections to the community. When these elements are in balance, people feel and perform their best.
We promote health and wellness and have been a major sponsor of the Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada since 1987. The Cardiac Health Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting cardiac rehabilitation and advocating prevention and education. Together with the Cardiac Health Foundation we have raised over $11.5 Million to support cardiac rehab facilities, scholarships & research, patient & public awareness, professional education, medical equipment.

Ronald McDonald House
“You cannot help but fall in love with the cause and care so much to make sure everything went according to plan.” Bruno Giancola, V.P. Project Management, Deltera
We are proud to have helped build the biggest Ronald McDonald House (RMH) in the world, with 96 bedrooms and almost 100,000 sq.ft. of space. RMH provides extremely affordable accommodation for families that come to Toronto in need of a place to stay while their child receives treatment for a life-threatening condition.
