Tridel in 2025: A Year of Milestones, Recognition, and Community

For Tridel, 2025 was defined by moments that brought people together. The year reflected the strength of our 90+ year legacy and was marked by meaningful milestones in the enduring communities we continue to build.

Built on Trust, Delivered with Care

Across the Greater Toronto Area, many Tridel communities reached occupancy. Over 1,000 new homeowners received keys to their new homes at Royal Bayview in Thornhill, Aqualuna on Toronto’s downtown waterfront, MRKT Alexandra Park near Kensington Market, Westerly 2, and Edenbridge in Etobicoke. Seeing these communities transition from active construction sites into fully realized homes was a powerful reminder of the responsibility we carry and the trust homeowners place in us. For Tridel, delivering homes is about more than completing buildings. It is about honouring commitments and creating places where people can put down roots, build their lives, and truly feel at home.

Setting the Standard, Year After Year

Tridel was recognized as the OHBA (Ontario Home Builders’ Association) Builder of the Year for a 6th time and BILD’s (Building Industry and Land Development Association) Green Builder of the Year for a record 16th time. Aqualuna, created in partnership with Hines, brought home the Green Building Award at the OHBA Awards, acknowledging our continued leadership across innovation and sustainability. Aqualuna also earned international recognition as it was named a Regional Winner at the Society of British and International Interior Design Awards, while Chateau Auberge on the Park and Tridel at The Well’s Signature Series received LOOP Design Awards for their respective lobby interior designs. At The Well, our latest Innovation Suite in Classic Series II was recognized for its forward-thinking approach to modern living as it received the Best Innovative Suite Design Award from BILD.

LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a globally recognized certification that measures a building’s sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental performance. Aqualuna officially achieved LEED® Platinum certification, completing a rare milestone where all four residential buildings within Bayside Toronto now hold LEED Platinum status. Ten York along with Auberge on the Park I and II also earned LEED® Gold certification.

Community, Culture, and Creative Expression

One of the year’s most exciting moments was witnessing Canadian history as we celebrated the country’s first supertall residential building at One Bloor West.

We hosted many housewarming events at Aqualuna and Royal Bayview, where new homeowners gathered to connect with neighbours, explore their spaces, and celebrate the beginning of life in their new homes. We also had the pleasure of collaborating with local talent to bring fresh creativity into our suites. At Edenbridge, we partnered with Toronto-based artist Diogo Snow, whose striking artwork added a bold, expressive layer to the community’s design. At The Well, we teamed up with renowned Toronto designer Sean Brown to co-create a model suite that brought together design and culture in a truly unique way.

2025 was a record-setting year for our interior design team, who completed over 80 model suites, the most in Tridel’s history. Each suite was uniquely designed to reflect the diverse ways people live, and to help future homeowners imagine what life in a Tridel home could look and feel like.

Supporting the Communities Where We Build

We continued to give back and support the communities where we build through initiatives like our annual Backpack and School Supply Drive, Holiday Toy Drive, and fundraising events including the BOLT Casino Night and Golf Tournament. Cumulatively through 2025, we’ve contributed $100,000 toward scholarships and grants for under-served communities, created 13 employment placements, directed over $95,000 in procurement to local and diverse-owned businesses, and logged more than 800 employee volunteer hours with non-profits and community events.

Built for Life®

Tridel’s Royalcrest community proudly celebrated its 50-year anniversary. It’s a major milestone that truly captures what it means to be Built for Life®. For five decades, Royalcrest has been a place of comfort and connection in Scarborough, and home to generations of residents. Its lasting presence is a reminder that the strongest communities aren’t just built to stand the test of time, but to grow and evolve with the people who live there.

As we reflect on 2025, we’re grateful for the homeowners who trusted us, the communities that took shape, and the moments that brought people together.
